Torino 10
Hi , I have been reading these pages for quite some time, checking out all the awesome cars and builds. I am the R/D and fabrication manager at Speedtech Performance. I am finally getting close to starting on my 69 Torino GT which I have had waiting for 3.5 years. This is the first car I have built for myself in many years. My daily driver is a full custom 71 Bronco which gets abused often(rockcrawling and airtime).
The Torino is going to be a tight budget build. I found it on Ebay and got it $1325 , I didn't expect much of a car for that kind of money. A friend of mine stored the car in CA until I brought it home a year ago. It doesn't look like much, but it has little rust and what there is is on the sections I won't be using. Even my wife didn't think it looked to bad!
Its going to get a 6.8L V 10 ,possibly a supercharger, a manual trans probably a T56, and 325/30/19s on 11" wheels on all 4 corners. The front clip/front suspension and all the floorpan will be custom fabbed. The rear will get a modified Speedtech torque arm with a 9". It will have creature comforts, A/C, power windows etc. But, also pay attention to overall weight.
As with my Bronco, it has to be able to drive long trips without issues.
Now I just need to get my Bronco collection trimmed way down and out of my garage so I can get started.
