Great advice from all of these guys.

Let the build speak for itself.

Have fun with what you are doing.

Keep doing what you are doing...The folks with the loudest opinions are most often people who have never built anything.

Be glad you're not doing a Pontiac with an LSx! Same types of responses!

Do what makes you happy and pleases the customer!!

Personnally I love the little Volvo!! I'd love to have one for my daily!! Talk about fun!

I think until you challenge and defeat that other parts vendor on the track, they're going to keep stonewalling you and categorizing you (and us for that matter) as a bunch of unsophisticated knuckle-draggers with quarter-mile crap cans and bad taste. That bunch seems like a huge waste of emotion and effort. That's really an argument you'll never win. As already mentioned....I'm sure Shelby wasn't a popular guy with that crowd years ago either. Move on.

You should do a Dodge Dart with an LS engine like me if you really want to feel the hate!
Don't let those wankers on the Volvo forum get to you, I never want a Volvo until I looked at the ones your building.

Im going to go against the grain here and say that theyre not in the wrong here, You've provided no evidence at all that your setup is better than stock, and theyre just asking for hard numbers. Sure it is adjustable and has coil overs, but neither of those in and of themselves don't necessarily makes the car any better.

What are the changes to sprung and un sprung rate? Have you performed a burndorf analysis? What are the changes to ackerman( what is the factory ackerman and did you go more or less positive and why?). Have you plotted bump steer in a dynamics analyzer? Have you measured the actual bump steer since you have one complete now? Have you dyno tuned the shocks to the spring rate and package?

Show hard data, both in theory and in application that its better, how its better, and then you'll have belief in your product!

Default You must be doing the right thing...

You are doing the right thing, you are bringing a product and service to market, a product and service that people want and are willing to pay good money for.

There are always haters and selfish people who are willing to do whatever it takes to tear someone or something apart. They are just destructive, because they can be, it's a sickness really.

Everyone who is successful gets this kind of treatment, you’re doing something right, so just know that this is way to be sure you are on the right track.

Try doing anything to a vintage VW that isn't restored or Cal-Look. Let alone putting a watercooled engine in... I was a bit down about it at first but it really got to be funny after a while, I embraced the hate. Purists are hilarious!
My handle, Ketzer, is german for a heretic. (a person that goes against established beliefs). Maybe you should start calling yourself Kätteri?
