Couple things: The fram has a bypass valve rated at 22 psi. I prefer no bypass on a high dollar performance engine. A bypass is important on a daily driver. When you are pushing it, you want to filter ALL your oil.

The k&n does have a anti drain back valve, higher burst pressure, and lower micron rating.
