X6. Love the handling and ride quality but would really like it to sit a bit lower in the rear.

Maybe i'm missing something but if you already have a g-link installed you have to cut off the old brackets and reweld these to make the car set lower.THANKS!

You are correct but this really isn't so much about adding additional height adjustment. At least with the 3rd gen Novas it appears from my install that the G-link w/Fab9 will go as low as possible before you'd be required to cut up the tunnel and trunk floor. See my build thread for pictures.

This "me too" activity is - or at least should be - simply about the special cases where someone has installed a G-link along with the Fab9. This setup - all from Chassisworks - puts the diff filler cap in contact with the shock crossmember shortly before the shocks bottom out at full compression. I'm planning on dorking around with my pinion angle some this weekend as well to see what that changes.

I don't think this would be an issue with a 12 bolt setup or most other setups without filler caps up high on the diff. I am not able to confirm this but I also don't think this would be an issue for anyone running the leaf pad mounts instead of the weld-on lower shock mounts. In the pictures I've seen it looks like those don't go as low. Therefore, the shock compression would happen sooner.

It is frustrating and if a "bolt in" replacement crossmember is offered then I'd be interested. However, at the point you've committed to going so far with a build as swapping a car to a completely different suspension design this level of modification/make it fit/fab work should basically be expected. You'd still be way ahead when compared to the work to install similar products.

Both g-Bar/g-Link lowering kits are bolt-on solutions. The lowering blocks are for use with our bolt-on leaf-spring axle brackets. The shock mount extenders bolt to the existing weld-on or bolt-on g-Bar axle bracket and provide another set of holes to move the billet mount further down. Neither kit requires welding.

Mine has a 12 bolt, and there is no interference issue whatsoever.

I am also running a 12 bolt, but with a Moser cover and I have clearance issues. The cross bar will come into contact with the cover on the rearend. Hopefully they come up with a optional crossbar, it not modification it is.

I hate to resurrect this but I am having the same issue. I have the G-Link with a FAB9 rear end on a 69 camaro and the filler neck on the rear end is hitting the cross member. I am not far enough along with my build to see if changing the pinion angle will fix this or not.

Question is: Did adjusting the pinion angle fix the problem or did you have to modify the crossmember? I am planning on a very low ride height and it would be great to do any necessary modifications now, if needed, before I get farther along with the build.
