Default Hello - anyone into Tri-5s?

Hi everyone.

I have a 55 Chevy 210. Looking to build sort of a combination of pro street and pro touring 55 Chevy.

Looking at some fast drag strip 55s - they all seem to have an after market frame or a stock frame that has been heavily modified.

So I am here to see what I can dig up.

Plans for the car are either single or twin turbo 540bbc that will live on the street but lay down 8s with slicks and skinnys bolted on at the strip.

Hello Juiced6,

There are not as many Tri-5's as Camaros, A/G-boduies, Novas & Mustangs, but there are still quite few Tri-5's in the Pro-Touring sport. Having fewer just makes them more appreciated.

I'm building a '57 Chevy to drive & compete in a lot of different "street car" events like Auto-X, Road course track days, Silver State Challenge & occasional drag racing ... (with tweeks to the suspension & different tires/wheels).

Welcome to the sport of Pro Touring.

There are some "bolt in" complete frames available to improve handling. As far as complete chassis with cages, I'm not sure.

How tunable do you want the suspension in your multi-purpose ride?

Talking Yeah we like 'em.

This one's got a 547 BBC.

If anyone can find a better sounding one please post it up.

Also, here's one of the nicest tri's you'll ever see on here.

It's getting updated.

That's a great description of the sound of that beast.

Seems well sorted out.
