Porsche drivetrain with an ecoboost cranked up, to keep it Ford-ish that is.

Late model Taurus SHO or Cop car. Turbo V6 all wheel drive. Good parts availability. Ford in a Ford.

I was thinking this would be the drive train for my next project, but I am glad that GoodGuys pulled the plug on AWD. No way can a rear drive full bodied car keep up with a short wheelbase AWD T-bucket. Now I can focus on the car I have and my driving for next season.

No matter what, you've got a long road ahead of you, but if you're set awd, find an old Syclone or Typhoon and do what you gotta do to make it fit that '65 chassis.

Good luck. You are a braver man than I.

The drivetrain out of a Porsche Panamera Turbo would be pretty cool if you could get it to fit.

This doesn't look very pro-touring.
