Like Trapin asked...does it require moving to, or living near the magazine headquarters?
What kind of experience, training, education is desireable for this kind of work?
Are you able to give salary ranges?

I'm sure Henry won't mind me answering this..
Im almost positive it's a full time gig..
You will need to move to CA.. This is a staff position and not a freelancing thing. The cool part is that you can eventually advance to editor, publisher or even a god-like position like Frieberger has.. lol
You need to know about cars. This is CHP so they are heavy on tech and concentrate on later 60's and early 70's Chevy musclecars. Im sure they would want knowledge of small block, big block, LSx and such GM engines.
I don't think a degree is all that important, but you will need to be able to formulate coherent thoughts and string together words in new and interesting ways. You also need to understand the importance of deadlines
My spelling is sorta weak, but I know how to use spell checker. lol..
It's a fun career, but it is work and has some of the same stress as in any other job. Then again you get to play with cars a lot and hang out with other gearheads.
I'm sure Henry can chime in if I am off on this at all....
