my housing arrived yesterday from DSE, definately top notch stuff, I had them powdercoat it gloss black, thing is like staring into a black mirror.

my only qualm, why is it so hard for DSE to include the basic nuts and bolts ???

Did you get hardware with your set-up?

The only hardware included with mine, (and all that I expected) were the nuts for the center section, and also the vent was included. I imagine because I purchased the center section from them at the same time, the nuts were included.

They don't include bolts/nuts for the axle retainers probably because everyone will be doing their own thing with brakes and associated brackets, etc and so the bolt lengths need to match the application...

What additional fasteners were you expecting?

As a side note, I found the Qlink's hardware package to be very complete.

I plan to powdercoat the housing locally, after test fitting, etc.
Yours sounds like it's looking real nice...let's have some photos!

Mine came in yesterday too. I had it shipped to a different location and I cannot get to it until Monday. I can't wait to see it. Mine was ordered with the center section and black powder coated...I will send out pictures on Monday night...

Rob-
I don't know you from Adam, but let me thank you for taking care of that child. It's actions like that by guys (and gals) like you that make America great. Just the fact that you guys WANT to be parents sets you down the right road in the first place. Thanks man.

OK- now that I've buttered you up; can you tell me how much that was from DSE? I'm assuming you got a new 9" hsg plus a chunk, right? I'm thinking about having them do just a housing.

Again- future congrats to you and momma.

JEFF

thar she blows.

Picture doesnt do it justice, yes I hauled it in my bedroom, as I've given up trying to keep new things clean in the garage while prepping the car for paint.

Don't get me wrong though, DSE is awesome to deal with, and always provides a quality product. I've just never ordered something from them and not had some sort of issue with the order. I ordered this set up at the Good Guys del Mar show on April 3rd, I was given some timeframes that were not accurate by months.

:: end rant ::

Can't wait to get this thing in the car...

Hi Jeff- Thanks for the kind words. We have always known that we would adopt (my wife Michelle was adopted) and fertility problems made it the only option for us. We will probably adopt a second once we get situated with the first!

As to the DSE stuff, PM me...

Rob

Congrats on your impending child

Many times while wearing "car blinders" we lose sight of what is really important, family, children, friends etc...this event should give you a new perspective for sure Congrats again..

Thanks Jeff for the kind words, and you are so right about that, ie, what is REALLY important...

Tony yes indeed we are getting ready and trying to get as much rest as we can...preparations are pretty much all in place...It will be "any day now" So we have our bags packed and in the car, ready to go at a moment's notice! (Only about 1.5 Hrs away)...
