Default When I was young

Shadow had F1 cars also

Hall had all his cars at Laguna a few years
back.. he even had a continuation car but
I have never seen one since.. I remember the sucker
car running at Laguna with crap flying everywhere when
it went by...

I crewed for my buddy who has a historic Lola
for a few years then he decided to build a house
and the car has been on the back burner ever since

Good times

Bob

The Shadow F-1s were short lived. The Can-Am cars were wild especially the one with tiny wheels - basically a Go-Kart with a Big Block! I don't know how Vic Elford could get the wheelbarrow (that carried his Giant Brass Balls) close enough to get into that one. Vic drove some great & (very dangerous) cars - Chaparral, Shadow, Porsche 917. Super funny guy, I got to work with him a few weekends at Skip Barber

I'd sell a Kidney for a Chaparral continuation car. Can't believe it isn't done, especially when you see so many Cobra, Cobra Brock Coupes, Cheetahs, etc!

I got to know the current owner of the go-kart shadow
big tall guy 6'4" really cool guy.. got one of his hats
told him he needs to make a bunch of T-shirts.. he also
owns a F-1 Shadow car that he is restoring

He ran the go-kart one a few years back at Laguna
his head stuck way above the roll bar.. motor went
south after a few laps.. a few drivers who drove it
back in the day and said never again... thinking way outside
the box.. The 1974 with a big block was the fastest car
running last year.. almost 160 at Laguna... very cool cars

There is a new series with Mclaren clone Can Am cars
that is suppose to run this year finally.. not sure who
they are running with.. Trans am? or ??

Got any more pics or videos? Iove that old can am stuff. Ther's a great thread on the ham about can am that's increadable . It's hard to beleave back in the day they would run a 800 to 1100 HP big block in a over grown go kart and finish the race!!!! That is increasable on any level looking outside the lak of safety f$%& that let's Win go fast and have fun doing it!!!!!

It's not CanAm but it was a big deal at the 67 Indy 500. I remember watching this race live.

My buddy did a few videos of the
Vintage races that he gave me. I think
they are too big to post. I also have some
Great shots of the cars at laguna and Sears
But not sure how to resize them as they are
in real high resolution

If you can go to a historic race it is well worth
it. I stood on pit lane many a time with these
Earth shaking monsters rumbling by

Bob, The Unlimited Racing Championship was supposed to be with IMSA/Tudor, but now is slated to be opening act for the Pirelli World Challenge
