Default 69 camaro factory 12 bolt rear end

I have a 69 Camaro 12 bolt rear end. Im going to mini tube the car and I wanted to know if it would be smart to narrow the 12 bolt or just sell it and buy a ford 9" or a Dana 60. I have the 4 link kit already. just trying to figure out this problem. Thank you in advance

Why not just get a deeper back space on the wheels?

depends on the code. if its just and open rear then not much harm, not sure dollar wise it would make you anything. if its a factory posi rear, then you might consider swapping it out.

I always liked my 12-bolt but hated the c-clips and wimpy outer bearings. I took the 4-link installation opportunity to install the large Torino ends and narrow to fit the wheel look that I wanted. I sort of like the GM rearend in these old cars - "no ragrets". I would not have done this if it was a really rare or, clean posi differential though.

thanks for the reply. the rear is out of a 69 camaro 427 4speed car. Yes it is a posi. That's why I'm thinking of not cutting it up. I want a deep dish rim. I'm looks to narrow it about 2" on each side.

I would go with the TCI Torque Arm over the 4 Link for the little extra $ it's well worth it.
