It's real nice, but in my case, I had been hoping that the DSE subframe was going to be built more like a WD/Martz/21stCSM type of (Box-tube) subframe, in that it would free up some much-needed space to the sides of the engine in the framerail areas...Aside from integrating the rack, it doesn't accomplish what I need, for a TT application where I have a lot of plumbing to deal with.

I can't rationalize that pricing, either.

For the life of me I can't figure out why you would want the price higher. What would that accomplish ?

Why in the hell do you wish that? The only reason I can think of would be if you had invested in the tooling, you could get a quicker return on your money.

Stuart, please don't misunderstand, I was not trying to be a wiseguy...What I was merely saying is that, for my project, I can't rationalize the price of the DSE subframe. It does seem quite expensive, but, for some people, it may provide specific benefits that they, as builders/owners, feel are worth it, for their particular application(s).

Your comment is certainly "leading", so, I'll bite: Do you have a financial interest in DSE?

Because if it was $10K Stuart would be the only person that could afford one, LOL!

If we were only comparing DSE products here then this is what i think .

Take a stock subframe add the speed kit 3 and the labor factor into it . Basically that would be about a 5k subframe. Looking at it in that perspective makes me think why not go to the new subframe with much better geometry and the option of a larger tire for the $6700.(pending I think)

Seems as if it would be a better buy in that case.

Just an opinion !

I do post some stupid stuff sometimes and some wisecracks. But in all seriousness there is ALOT of planning, thought and expense in this piece. The price is cheap compared to the investment it took to bring it to us.

Kyle could have come out with a sub frame along time ago, but as they say there is only one chance to make a first impression.

Also if I was a company other than DSE that sells subs I would be happy the price is at least where it is, it raises the price point a bit for other competitors, IMO.

Just cars, I laughed when it was assumed I had a financial intrest in DSE, with my wife and kids in my money clip, there is no chance of that, LOL.
