Default first car

I had three first cars at fifteen I had given to me a 1968 delta 88 455 possi burner, 1974 buick century 350, 1978 ford elite 351. Dad said no to the delta and the ford had three dead cylinders so I ended up with the century put a set of keystone classics a holley carb and a glass pack. Also 18 cans gloss black krylon paint it was lots of fun. The first nice car that I got was my 1966 skylark convert and still have it today that was over 20 years ago

My forst car was a 77Nova that I got from my great grandma. It was originally a 6 cyl car. I rebuilt my first engine for that car. It was a 305 out of a chevy van. I learned a lot with that car but am never going back to the gut less 305.

My first car is my 69 i'm still modding today...Not that it was all that long ago. I got the car when i was 13 for my 13th bday (we'd been looking for a 69 for quite some time). That was back in 97. Since then i've painted it and put in a 355 4spd to replace the 307 3spd, and it currently has a LT1/T56. It's soon to go back to the body shop and get a new motor.

Keith's car is very cool. My first car was a 65 Mustang, 289 and 4 speed. Lots of good memories, and it really seemed fast to me.

Ah, the good old days!

Default My first two cars

I just found this picture last week-end while going through some stuff. My first TWO cars in the same shot.

In the background is the 1977 Type LT 305 auto that I bought from the insurance proceeds from being a passenger in a violent car crash .....

The other is my first new car that I ordered from the dealership in 1984. I was already into Pro-Touring even then : I had to wait five months for GM to build me one with a 5-speed, four wheel discs and the 3.73 gears along with roll up windows........ I made the mistake of selling it when I got married. It had a Dana 44 complete rear from GM Performance and a 350 with Dart heads when I sold it.

Best memory : I happened to drive by a Chevy dealership one day when a then brand new (plastic on the seats) IROC with the 350 drove out with a slaesman and a prospective client, headed for the industrail park next door. I could not resist following. As they say, the look on the face of that salesman when a 4 year old, plain looking carb car smoked him repeatedly, was priceless.
