I think the lines can be pretty blurry sometimes when you start throwing around all these "styles", like Pro-street, hot rods, street rods, rat rods, etc. I call my car "pro-touring" because of what I want to get from it (all-around performance and one-of-a-kind styling), but upon closer inspection you can see some of the aspects I have "borrowed" from drag racing (big block, cowl hood, etc.) I agree with others that a good appreciation of the hobby requires an open mind toward all builds. R & D that benefits our hobby often begins in the other areas of car crafting and racing, and at the OEMs as well. Even imports have something to offer (just not a much LOL).
Give credit where credit is due, and respect others' opinions.

a change of rims and tires and some basic suspension mods should yield you both, my car is prostreet right now w a leaf/ ladder setup w mini tub.

throw on the right set of low profile rims and a sway up front, adj the sus and you have a different look for the street. Big cubes and a blower you can run a mild stall and still have good 1/4 m times when you switch it back to the tubbed look for the strip.

Before I get flamed, I understand that my car w blown bbc wieght under the hood will never handle like my c5.

One of the great things about this community (Lateral-G) is that you have these types of discussions without your Nomex Underwear!!!! All these are good points.
