When I saw the car on Ebay I thought that was the nail in the coffin. Glad to see you rescued your vision and got it done on your terms. That's really cool. Future plans for the car?

Well, we have a car show this sat and then one the entire following weekend. After that, I want to make sure the car settles all of it's build goals. We wanted the car to do over 160MPH, do 12.00 or better in the 1/4, do a lateral-g over the 200' pad and stop from 60-0 in less than 120'. The only one I'm not totally sure on is the brakes. The car stops like crazy but my dd does 60-0 in 117' and I know the chevelle is not quuuiiittteeee there. Plus its so much heavier than the Corvette whose brakes we choose for it. We'll probably come in at 130-135' after tuning the prop valve. I tried to make as much of the serviceable parts on the car as OE as possible so that if there ever was a catastrophe and the car was being driven, a trip to the auto parts store or (worst case) the dealer would be the fix. The brakes were no exception.
Of course, my friend could just succumb to greed and sell it to make a buck (he's already been offered a lot more than he paid for it) but hopefully I'll get a bit more time with it or sell myself with the car to the new owner if it does get sold. I'm grateful to have the time I get with it now, y'know? I'll take good pics and video when it does happen...should be fun to see high quality video of the car being tortured like I wanted it to be.

P.S. Website is still not done yet...just have the splash page up for reference...hopefully everything will be up by tomm night.

I have a big show with it this weekend....I doubt anyone will offer him 50K for it without video or seeing it in person. I'm sure i'll still have it for a few more weeks at least. I've had it and have been driving it for the last week...it's been fun. Finally made some of my work worth while. The plugs show she's running a little lean so I got a kit from edelbrock and I'll be playing with that tommorow. But yes, overall it sucks. At least it's a finished car this time. Hopefully the new owner will put a cage in it and rip the leather floor out. There's a brand new carpet under it.
