Default Cleaning Up ((03-12-23 ))

Cleaning Up the last little bit of wiring before I install the Vintage Air Unit.

I put labels on a few of the wires just in case I ever need to look at them.

I put Nylock nuts on the speaker bracket

I also labeled a few more wires from the Holley ECU

Tucked it neatly on the firewall above the steering column.

Time to trim the carpet around the Holley Transmission Harness.

There was a minor gap in the grommet so I filled it with Silicone.

Okay, this was fun. Time to reshape the carpet with the Heat Gun and it is very important that you heat the backside of the carpet not the front.

All better.

Yes, I did and since I have memory issues (side effect of chemo) this really helps me when I am working on the car.

Default Neutral Saftey Switch (( 03-12-23 ))

It's all about the detail and being able to service / get to / find all of the wires if your on the side of the road broke down.

I need/want to route the wiring for the neutral safety switch through one of the shifter brackets versus around the bracket. Doing this will
direct it straight up to the firewall. I took a couple reference pictures so I don't have to try to remember where the wires plug in. The
good news is I can only actually screw up two of the wires.

Sorry this is a terrible picture but the bracket is laying on the carpet is the one that needs to be modified.

I started by using smaller drill bits stepping them up slowly till I got to the 5/8'' bit. I tried to use a step bit but that SOB ripped
the bracket right out of my hand.

Trust me using the 1/2 drill scares me but I did drill very slow.

After the hole was drilled I filed it into a square hole since no one make a square drill bit. Well that is a lie as the do
make them for wood working. Trust me look it up.

It took a couple tries to get the size correct.

A little bit of touch up paint.

Default Misc Stuff (( 03-12-23 ))

I figured I might as well label this wire as I know 6 months from not I am going to have no clue what it is for.

Last mounting point for the Holley Harness is being installed today.

Plugging in the Holley Dash

Love this stuff

I put a little to much on the base of the Mag Daddy Magnet mount...Opps

I moved back the sound deadening so I could bound them directly to metal. I love using the Mag Daddy magnets while
the I am working on the car as i can move the mounts around as needed.

I am still on the fence if I am going to install Kick panel speakers. Right now I am looking at these from Kicker.

Default Vintage Air Heater Hose Routing (( 03-17-23 ))

I started working on the hose routing and the good news I don't plan to make it permanent just yet as I keep changing my mind.

I need to find a pre-bent hose from the Autoparts store that will jog around the massive Anvil Carbon Inner Fenders.

I also need to make sure the battery wires are not effected by the location of the hoses.

Hose # 1 would have been perfect if only it was a 5/8's hose.

Hose #2 looks like it will work and it's a 5/8's hose.

Napa Part # 11529

Yes, I label everything

I settled on these two hoses.

and NO I am not making the final connections as my brain isn't convince this is going to work.

Default Holley Dash & Autometer Clock Wiring (( 03-18-23 ))

I am finally installing the Autometer Clock wire harness and as you can see I stacked the clocks instructions with
the American Auto Wire instructions below it.

Since I am going to pull the power and lights on from the headlight switch I needed to find the switch. Well, I search for
it for 20 minutes and then realized I had already installed on the Classic Dash surround. DA !!!!

I powered the car back up and plugged in the switch and started testing the circuits
till I found the two I needed. The one that is labeled Ign On is actually lights on.

Labeled the Clocks harness.

I then moved on to wire routing and installed a few more Mag Daddy Magnets. I love these things !!!

Simple push them into the sound deadening and then trim it out with an Exacto Knife.

Note to self the Blue/White wire is for a Tach Signal.

Calling it a night.
