Good question. If historical data is correct I'm guessing a month.

Car is just about completed at the painter. It's going to be picked up to have the undercoating done by GAP. Their schedule will get it done MUCH sooner than the painter can. He's done beyond finishing buffing the car. Looks very nice. Took over some wheels I'm considering and going to be honest, I like them more than I thought I would. I took a rear wheel from a friends Z06 to see how it looked (19x12 w/ 345 tire). If I get these wheels, I'd be looking at 5" lip on the rear and probably 2" on the front with my offsets.

Now for pics:

Thumbs up Nothing like the motivation from seeing fresh paint...

Looks like the car is moving along quite nicely... I am just now getting to the point of being able to see paint in my near future on my own car. Keep up the updates, it's looking really good.

Car is finally back from paint prison! After dropping the car off in October of 2012, I pulled the car and sent it to GAP a couple months later to have the suspension work and cage installed. GAP has the car till mid Feb performing the work I had for them.

Car left GAP mid Feb and went straight back to paint. Several missed deadlines and lots of disappointment on the schedule side of things, and a short 11 months later (not including the first month or two), the car has been returned with minimal work needed to complete it. Keep in mind original quote was 2-3 month turn-around.

We will complete the remaining work on the paint at GAP primarily. Some wetsanding/buffing needed as well as repainting of the front bumper (thin paint and couple small chips).

Either way, that's enough drama

It has pretty decent reflection I'd say!

I'm thrilled to finally have this car back! Time to get moving on getting wheels on order. Working to get some wide front inner fenders to get a wider front tire on it.

Finally this project can start to move again!
William

The shop in the last pic is GAP (dark green trim on metal building).

Will, glad to see your car has color on it and has left the paint shop. I think you have a good plan for finishing it up. Talk to Tim if you want "try" out my Budnik Tiller 5 wheels one your car to check widths and back spacing. They are 17x8 and 17x11. Might save you the rework of replacing the inner fenders if you like the look of an 8" wide on the front. The wheels are at GAP right now but the car is off-site getting color. Don't like them too much though as I plan to keep them.

I can run 10" fronts already with the DSE frame. It's all about extra room though. I'll check out the wheels. Going to put "Voodoo's" wheels on the car to see how I like them.

Very excited about the cars freedom. Ready to get to work!

He's right about the shop. Last is gap. First showing it inside is the painters shop. The prison my car has been in since 2012 basically.
