Default Classic Dash Final Install (( 04-07-23 ))

Quick trip to the local Ace Hardware from more supplies

I needed to pick up a piece of flat stock so I could install the dash surround as the holes don't line up and also need a spacer.

I can't believe I haven't removed the steering wheel as it is been in the way so many times !!!

Off to Home Depot for more hardware.

Time to trim more of the Classic Dash Surround

Funny story. I was at the Doctor a couple of weeks ago and the Dermatologist used this little marker
on leg. Since I love Green & Blue I asked her if I could have the marker since they have to throw it out after they use
it. She said yes and thankfully I had it as I tried ever marker I had to mark the hole that I need to drill and nothing
worked. I decided to look in my truck and I found it and it worked perfectly.

I mounted the bracket to the dash bracket with a nut and bolt (sorry no picture) however before i installed I screwed the
sheet metal screw into so it would be easier to install the surround.

Surround is in !!!

Now for the rest of the stuff.

First Up is the headlight switch and if you guys have any ideas as what I can use to fill the hole below the switch I would love suggestions.

Autometer Clock

I know it looks crooked it's just an illusion

Da !!!! Next make sure you install the retaining bracket before you plug everything in.

Holley Dash wiring

GPS Signal wire

Heading out to Dinner with my wife and daughter.

Default Holley GPS Wire (( 04-07-23 ))

While I was cleaning up I notice the GPS Signal wire as not in such a great place. My plan is to wrap the
wire in TechFlex abrasion wrap to protect it.

MJ-Really like the yellow striping on your R…

As far as what goes in the hole in your dash, how about making this emoji functional… Just press it every time you think of something else the ‘70 needs…and it automatically sends $500 to Holley, ARP etc.

Man I'm so happy to see the blue tape exiting the scene!!

Great job Marty!

After you get the dash together, might want to calibrate the vintage air controls to make sure you're getting full sweep of all the stepper motors in the base. If you have a gen IV setup, follow this procedure, had to use it recently on a car I was working on. Doesn't matter if you have the knob setup or factory style, calibration is calibration.

The heck with the Camaro! LOL, just kidding!

You are doing super job and I've never seen such documentation.

Default Cayman Project

I will be honest the 35k I spent on the Cayman has to be the best money I have ever spent. However, it did slow the progress of the Camaro and thank you for the kind words.

Couple more pictures of the Cayman

I picked up the car in 2016 and in may of 2018 I had the guys at Next Level Detail correct the paint and wow they did a fantastic job on the car.

I had the roof & hood wrapped as I haul my bikes on the roof and sometimes they drop mud on the roof.

Had the Wheels powder coated black

Built a crazy tire rack for the front tires

Took the car to Road America and had a blast

Built a wheel mount for the roof rack

One of my tires is just a little to big

Wrapped the rear wing and

Made some cool center cap Logo's

Got my first flat

Took it my neighbor for a car wash

Finally put in a phone mount

Replaced the headliner

Washed the car before taking it to Xtreme Graphics

I still have to change the silver gills and mirrors to black

Remy picture for Skip

Working on this next

yep, I drive the car !!
