Default Intake Tube Support Bracket & Final Cuts (( 07-04-23 ))

Next up I am going to finally finish working on the intake tube support bracket.

I know it looks complete however the tubes are shoved way far into those hump hoses. So I will need to remove a some of the material.

I marked where the hump hose ends so I know how much that I need to remove.

Well after 30 years it's finally time to retire my old Dremel

In with the new

Time to make the first cut

Just a little bit of clean up.

One Hour later and "Look mom nothing changed"

I will be dropping these off at the Powder Coater tomorrow.

Default Door Pull - Plan B (( 07-03-23 ))

I am finally working on the door pull concept do to the door bars.

If you look the distance between the factory holes is about 1" shorter which should work perfect.

I am hoping they will sit right above the Tiger Cage Door Bars.

old picture for reference

Default Harness Bar (( 07-03-23 )) - After Dinner with my Wife

Remember no matter how small the project is getting just one of them done when you only have an hour.

It's still a completed project.

Thankfully, I used the blue tap as reference marks so it was a simple project.

Tin Man **** !!!

Done and now a quick shower and off to dinner with Mike & his wife.

Default Swapping out the Fan Fuse (( 07-04-23 ))

Another simple project that took much longer then I expected.

Swapping out the fuse for a circuit breaker.

I love using these washer for grounds on sheet metal.

I needed to borrow the Rubber Booty & the nuts from one of the other circuit breakers. Next car show I go to I am going to buy more of them.

Mounted

I sleeved the wire with the Tech Flex Abrasion wrap just because it looks better and offers great wire protection.

I use this little trick to make sure I know exactly where the heat shrink needs to start.

My OCD is Killing me

Yep, I have issue's

Being honest I was convince I cut the wire short and thankfully I did not.

Everything I used today just to run one wire.

Default Intake Tube Support Bracket (( 07-09-23 ))

Since the intake tube is just literally just hanging off the throttle body I need to finish the support bracket.

I have desire to remove the fan shroud to make holes so Self-Taping screws to the rescue.

I can't seem to find my 1/4" adapter for my drill so I am going to improvise.

Since the cardboard bracket won't be strong enough I am going to run over to High Speed Welding after work
tomorrow and have him make me an aluminum version.

yep, the screw is just short enough.

Well, I didn't notice it was crocket till I pulled the tape off.

Oddly enough the tube runs up on a slight angle to it works perfect

It's hard to see but there are rubber grommets the bolts go through so I will be using Nylock Nuts so I don't have to
worry about them coming loose. You can also see the bolt that is on the intake tube that I will be using to secure
the intake tube to the bracket.

I am going see if I can find a shorter nut as it doesn't need to be this thick.

Looks like everything worked so off to the powder coater we go.
