Exactly, once you start tracking your calorie intake AND calorie burn through excercise, you will be amazed at the difference it makes daily.

I'll also go on to say that changing your nutrition should be a life long GOOD HABIT. Meaning, don't jump on some fad diet that will make you lose the weight and FAIL to keep it off. Change your life with natural/healthy foods that will keep you trim until the end of time. Many days now, I struggle to eat enough. My body craves good foods now. I'm sure some of you are sitting back and saying, this guy is out of his f'n mind. It's 100% true.

One of the things Kelli & I are getting ready to do is get most of our fruits and veggies from a local supplier that gets oganics and farmers market products from CA. It's only in season produce so the nutrient level is through the roof. Remember, what you put in your body is what you can expect out in form of performance.

I'm with you guys on GMO. I don't want to get political and let's not, but it needs to go away or at the very least, get disclosed.

Aren't all of us organic beings? Then why put anything but organic things in? You wouldn't put cheap gas in your precious pro-touring car would you? My big joke at work whenever donuts show up is "you don't put Circl K gas in a Ferrari"!

After being inspired by some of the other blogs I read (mrmoneymustache.com is one of my current fav's) I bought a bicycle with the hope of riding it to do more errands so I get exercise, save money on gas, save pollution, and get the errand done.

It helps that I live in the city but this last weekend as I was thrashing on the car I made 4 or 5 trips to Ace, a trip to the auto parts store, a trip to home depot. Even though I was in full thrash mode on the car working on it pretty much from waking up to going to sleep I still fit in 10-15 miles of bike riding this weekend. I hate exercising for the sake of exercise but I love these kind of win/win things you can do that have multiple benefits.


Overall, since starting myfitnesspal I'm down almost 15 lbs though I think 2-3 of that is dehydration from my thrash this last weekend.

ran 13 on saturday and a 3 mile recovery run yesterday and lifted. lifted this morning. Gets the week off to a good start!! didn't eat the best though I burned a heck of alot of calories.

I watched a movie last year "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" its a great movie about how this guy and other lost weight and healed there bodies by juicing vegetables. I actually did it for 10 days straight. No lie, I actually felt good full of energy, and I detoxed my body.

Another good movie is "the Future of Food". It has me now buying organic produce only, the way it was 50 years ago.
The Future of Food is a great movie... I have to admit, when I learned corn was GMO'd it be immune against Roundup Ready vegetation killer, and produce it's own pesticide, I got just a little freaked out. Corn is in everything!

On another note, I have been doing a lot of cobb and taco salads lately on my quest to reduce grains and breads from my diet.

I really like this quote. When life gets stagnant, you get bored and lack motivation. Working towards new goals keeps the blood flowing and fire in your gut. My biggest recent goal has been my health, physique, and mental toughness. I've got financial and business goals that have been met or are still in the process of becoming reality as well. Write them down and review them on a regular basis.

How are you guys doing? I'm still cementing my good habits. I'm still running or high intensity weights 5-6 times a week for a .5 hour. I hope to break into the 170's this week. I've been struggling a little to lose weight. I'm hitting my calorie intake goals(still tracking my diet) but the weight loss has slowed down. I am looking pretty good in the mirror which is really the most important part. The last 5 lbs will take some time but I'll get there because the nutrition and work ethic is there. I plan to stretch a run out over 3 miles soon. In fact, I may do it on Saturday. I've been recovering really quickly so I'm ready for a 5 miler.

I've been replacing a new fence at one of my rentals by myself all week. Re digging post holes in hard pan with a heavy bar and post hole digger in plus 95 degree weather. I'm sun burnt and my shoulder and back muscles are killing me. This has kept me from the gym all week but I'm still getting a workout and not complaining. The wife seen I was a bit grumpy so without asking she went out and bought me a 30 pack of Bud Lights. Sorry to bring the beer up guys but the first few cold ones sure did put a smile on my face and then hers.
