Default Passenger Side Indicator ((06-09-24 ))

Here we go

So, my AC line and some wiring is in the way !!

Plan B - Move the line just a little bit.

What should have been a 10 minutes job turned into an hour.

I headed to Ace Hardware to keep a couple nuts with star washers on them. Apparently, they are called Keps Nuts.

As I was walking out I found an old ashtray that reminded me of my Grandfather. So, I bought it to hold all of my hardware while I am working.

New nuts have been installed on both bumpers.

Default Norris Catch Can (( 06-20-24 ))

Finally finishing up the Norris Catch Can plumbing.

Figuring out where I am going to drill a hole and connect in.

The black hose that is under the braided hose is going to the intake tube.

I think I am going to wrap the hose in the Tech Flex Sleeving to make it look similar to the Earl Hose.
(( Most likely over the winter when I paint the radiator and fan shroud matte black. ))

I routed the hose under the wiring so it would look a little nicer.

I added a thick rubber washer under the intake tube.

I think it needs the Tech Flex wrap

Default The pieces and parts are dwindling (( 06-22-24 ))

The parts in the attic and on the bench is definitely getting smaller.

Installing the drivers side rocker skirts didn't go on as planned, unfortunately the fender holes are now slightly off.

I need to make a minor adjustment to the rocker skirt so they line up with the fender nutzerts.

Weel, it wasn't enough

I had to run a tap through one of the nutzerts and I kept praying it wouldn't start spinning.

Time to pack up the kids towels that have been using in the garage for the last three years while I've been working on the car.

Default And yet there is more to do. (( 06-28-24 ))

I almost forgot to grease the Ride-Tech Lower link bar.

I finally finished up the drivers door panel. However, I may add a vertical pull strap at some point.

Door handle bezel.

So does the spring clip hide behind the plastic washer or where I have it ?

So, I am an idiot. Apparently I forgot to plug in the light when I had the fender off.

All better.

I also moved the headlight wiring as it was sitting on top of this loom.

Trying to find a good location for the High Beam Switch and yes I love this part of the car.

I think I like this.

Default Removing the last of the blue tape. (( 06-29-24 ))

Hopefully, I drive the car out of the garage in the next couple days.

The Tape Ball is getting bigger.

Hay Ron, do you remember when you asked me where the passenger mirror went ?

Apparently, I still have to order the ARP bolts for the throttle body.

Towels are ready to go up in the attic.

All I have to do is take the "Bad Ass Fender Cover" off the car and it leaves the garage.

and yes that is the name of the Fender Cover.

Default Back in the Garage (( 07-04-24 ))

Back at it and I am trying to put gas in the tank.

These new gas cans suck !!!

I picked up this Gas can Spout to convert it back to the old school style.

I have been going back and fourth with Holley about the gas cap part number and apparently
a batch of gas caps were packaged incorrectly. I only know this now that I went back to
Auto parts store and picked up another cap with the exact same part number and it's
completely different.

Holy **** it works and it doesn't flop around !!!

This is the first one l purchsed which has the exact same part number and doesn't work.

Not even close to being the same design.

Default Pulling the car off the rack and turning it around. (( 07-04-24 ))

What sounded like a simple task turned into a calamity of errors and mass frustration. When I put the car in reverse
it displayed "N" which was odd as the car drove prior to this.

I gave the car a little gas and the car just didn't want to move, it struggle to move as the engine's rpms increased.

Then it got worse, as I was backing up the jack pads caught the subframe which pretty much stopped the car. I got
out of the car and blocked the front tires and jacked up the rear end so I could move the sliding jack.

Thankfully it has rubber pads so no damage was done.

Of course I forgot to move the tire block and once again the car stopped moving. Ugh !!!

Drive is appeartly "4th" Gear on the Dash. Hopefully Dr EFI Andrew can fix that for my brain.

I did manage to get it out of the garage and turn it around and as i was backing up I noticed the Brake Lights where
on even though I was not in the car. That will be tomorrows project.

Then the heat hose started leaking and that is why you start a new project car with distilled water in the radiator as it
is much easier to clean up.

That's it I am going riding.
