2nd Chance Camaro - Let the Project Begin

Back out to the garage I go and I had a couple friends join me.



I really need to fix / figure out the PCV system on this car.



While I am here I am going to remove as much blue tape as possible.

Finishing up the Grille Install.

I headed to the local Ace hardware for some Foam Window Seal.



You can see the gaps around the grille and I will be using the foam to fill the void and protect the paint.



Grille has been wrapped with the window seal.

I started removing the tape on the tiger cage.







I had to protect the Hot Wheels Wall. I am not sure if I ever explained the Hot Wheels wall, so here
goes. When friends and family come over and they end up in my garage they can have any car they
want on the wall. You should see the look on their face. It is so cool and to all my car guys you just
get a bunch and just keep them in your garage or house.

So behind the scenes I have been struggling with the PCV plumbing. I am fighting a oil leak from the back of the motor.

For now I am going to vent the Oil Fill Cap and do version 5 or 6 of the plumbing.



I walked into the needed size by using various drill bits.



Final hole with drilled with the correct bit for the needed NPT tap.



My neighbor Sean cleaned out the tiny pieces of aluminum.



Fitting going in.





Over the winter I am going to pull the intake manifold and install the LS1 Valley cover with the PCV plumbing in it.

The passenger door has this really cool auto unlock feature. Which of course needs to get fixed.



It's crazy to see all of the runs in the original paint on the inside of the door.



Since my memory sucks we took a bunch of pictures.



Thankfully my neighbor Sean was over as he helped me at least once with the hardware. Installed more strip caulk.







We finally pulled the blue tape off the Chrome strip.



Found the black surround for the escutcheon and the black window cranks.



New Latch assembly installed and working.

Hopefully, I set the hub tension correctly...

Pulled the wheel off so I could install the cap.





Went over to the Drivers Side and I realized I didn't need to remove the wheel.

Okay, I talked with Kenny and he gave me some directions.

My wife happened to be home so I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride.



As you can see we even brought Remy.



After the ride I asked her what she thought of the ride.



Remy said it was fun.

A couple hours later my neighbor Sean came over and we went for a ride. We stopped at the park to see if anything
was leaking and well now the freaking oil pan is leaking.

Ugh !!
