Steve,
I think a lot of us get emotional about cars…especially when we get our credit card statements and see how much the old crustys and dustys cost us each month!

Steve i got to agree .. I saw a singer, pretty sure it was a dls ... white lol . It was one of the auto shows in Toronto a couple of yrs ago . Absolutely sex on wheels. The quarter window turned into a ram air for the air box , sounds weird but they made it beautiful

That black DLS is amazing! Glad you got to see it in person, Steve. That orange really pops against the black, wow!
What you all have described is similar to why I no longer care about power and really only focus on the design and for my person car of choice, my E39, the driving experience. That DLS and SL could have a 350/350 sbc for all I care. If they drive great and look great, that's all that matters to me any more.

I have been fortunate and I seen a couple of the Singer DLS, Guntherworks and a few others. They are absolutely insane.
Way back in 2012/2013 I hung out a Rad Rides while they were assembling a Riddler car. Talk about being blown away.
Each year the bar seems to get raised and somehow people keep raising it. I can't imagine what the next ten years are going to bring.
ps I just going to back to my garage and finish my Patina car to drive out of the garage.

I use online banking, never get a paper statement. I would have to search for it online and half the timer I forget my login. When I do get in to transfer money (I don't keep alot in the debit card account when used online) I usually do not see the itemized if I don't scroll down. with my bad memory, outta sight, outta mind works.

Trey, funny enough the E39 M3 has been on my radar for the past year ... keeping a close eye out for a nice one
Marty, have been thinking the same for some time, Since I started and finished my 69 Camaro around 2017, the level of design, creativity, finishes have just accelerated.
It's both a great time to be an enthusiast, but also kinda scary ... are we nearing the end with the looming 'electrification' or are we staring down the barrel at a significant shift in tech. I just couldn't imagine building a hotrod/resto-mod that doesn't make any noise ....
Cheers Steve

I agree Steve.
I’m not really interested in an EV as I think most of them are well ugly or just not my style. It’s to bad they didn’t push the Hybrid as I may have considered one for my daily.

I'm not sure we'll see an end. I just think it will keep transitioning. I see sport trucks coming back pretty big to a large extent. Radwood seems to be gaining in popularity with period correct builds, too.
Regarding raising the bar. I ran into Bob Johnson a few years back now. He brought out a super clean and heavily detailed 55 Chevy to Caffeine & Octane that was of course gorgeous. The freaking engine was entirely smoothed out for crying out loud. I asked him about G-Force Cuda and Battle Axe and how they compare to today. He said those two cars don't hold a candle to what's being built now. It really is insane the level of craftsmanship that is going on.
I can see electric power helping to draw attention to new areas previously not possible when dealing with an internal combustion engine. I think the sound and amazement of getting a mechanical wonder to work will be lost on many. Think about how many people are more impressed with the latest iPhone compared to any real, wind up watch/clock. No doubt the iPhone is impressive, but the watch blows my mind and keeps me enthralled more.
