Seriously though --- this is good to hear that she's finally all coming together.

If you were hauling Rob around --- that's costing you 17 seconds easily.

Hey what's an extra 215 lbs. You meant to say if he wasn't hauling me aroung he would have missed the entire last session and not had any speed info to post

Correct ?

If he tried tuning the car after his initial 2 lap sessions I would have smacked him upside the head. Bad Ron you are allowed one initial tuning adjustment before your next outing but at the track only tire pressure monitoring for now.

Seat time buddy, seat time.

First I need to bust Ron's chops. He was a spaz and drained the battery on his GoPro before he ever got a chance to turn it on.

He had Harry's lap timer on his phone but didn't try and fire it up till the last session. Last minuet and he gives up on it and say F it, so I said hand me the phone. BTW he did get some lap times and speeds off Harry's. Your welcome Bad Ron.

That stupid fuel vent cost him two sessions of practice so the last session was his only opportunity to start to learn the track and explore the capabilities of his car. It also meant I had to get my hands dirty and spill gas on me while I crawled under the dam thing.

Add to that he was gridded at the back of the entire group and the first couple laps he had the "Meatball" stress factor weighing on him.

So in fairness. Ron actually was pretty composed in his $$$$$ baby on a big track with an untested setup. Was he a spaz in between, of course, but when it was go time he drove really well. Smooth on the brakes and turn in and throttle. Concentrated on his lines and was pretty dam consistent at executing them while creeping up on the speed.

I'd give Bad Ron an A- for the day. He showed a good combination of Balls, common sense and some skill.

Unlike the d e who took his new dialed from the factory 911 scalpel home on a flatbed with two smashed wheel multiple smashed body panels and who knows what else; Ron ran some composed respectable laps, learned the basic lines of the track and got a sense of what his car is doing out there.

It was a great time buddy, glad I got to tag along.

Good for Robs tenacity to giter dun
Hey Vin, yes it's a II Much. The vent line runs out the center of the Rick's tank into a 270* swivel pointing downward. Fuel slosh ran down the line to the canister which is mounted toward the tail panel. We reversed the line so that line out of the tank goes to a 90 and upward. The canister is made for vapor not liquid I guess ...

Oh and Rob is tenacious. That can be good or bad, depending on if you're arguing with him

Hey Greg! You are going to love it when you're done. Our set ups are close enough to compare notes

In your crowd Coors Light doesn't constitute as drinking does it?

But yeah my 2 wheel fast days are pretty much behind me. It was cool seeing your car in a corner I was familiar with though.

Glad you got some shakedown time in, hopefully Streets will involve more tire wear and fuel consumption..........through the engine anyway.

Just a note about the motorcycle pic and the pic of BR's Camaro.... One of them is much nearer the apex/corner marks than the other. Which makes a huge difference on the exit... Can you tell which one?!?!? LOL

I think he was doing a very good job all things considered.
