I already had the Intro wheels but sent the rear ones in and had the center hoop removed and installed in the widest wheel they had for that style. I found a guy that did a lot of tub/roll cage work for race cars and showed him the installation video and he quoted me really low on the labor. He knew a guy that did excellent tig welding so I purchased a new stock tank and had them narrow it. It turned out really well and I lost about 3 gallons of fuel space. Other than the mini tub kit itself my biggest cost was the new Michilen tires
Yeah, I'm in Oklahoma where you won't see too many 1st gen camaros with a DSE mini tub kit and lowered 3" with Intro wheels but a buddy of mine is getting ready to go ALL OUT with his 69 camaro build. Can't wait to see him get started with it.. All you have to do is shop around for guys to install your DSE kit.. The guy that did mine had never done one but did an excellent job.. It turned out really nice.. I couldn't have been more pleased...I am using a stock rearend so when I ordered my rear wheels I had most of the offset to the inside. About the only thing that I had to do was reset the angle on my pinion.. I do have pics of the tank if anyone wants to see them...
