I didn't even flinch. You won't be ready to sell that car for a reeeeely long time.

Congrats Jack, your car is very deserving. You put some serious work into that ride and it shows.

Nick

Yup - another great issue. Congrats Steven and Nick. It's great to see the hard work reflected in each issue.

Thanks, we really do agonize over each issue. The hardest part is putting it together to have someting for everyone. Some resto, pro-touring, street machine and even pro-street. Then we have the challenge of covering all the generations. It's tough to hit the right balance.

The magazine is light years better than it was even a year ago. We have a new art director and he's really bringing a nice look to the magazine. The issue after this one will be his first "full issue" of CP although he did a killer job on my stroker story in the Feb issue.

I got to see a copy of the magazine for about 3 minutes before I had to run out the door to go to MPMC in LA. After 30 years of building cars, getting a cover shot is still the coolest. Getting the centerspread is right behind it at #2! Thanks to Nick Licata, Steven Rupp and Robert McGaffin for making Velocity look like a million bucks. Some days I can't beleive I get to drive that thing!
THAT is why I go to work every morning.

Thanks for that Bret! I really enjoyed working with you on this. I have been fortunate enough to shoot 3 of their latest cars and I must say you have been so gracious to take the time and effort to get the shots we need. You have first class people who also go the extra mile to assist in getting the job done. Thanks for all your time and effort. BTW, Thanks for letting me beat on the 66 this last summer. I really enjoyed it. Love to thrash on it again sometime.

Nick and Steve are great to work with and thanks to you guys as well. I appreciate all the work you throw my way. Looking forward to more in '09.
