A good running engines' 'sounds' should be described as MUSIC -- not noise...

what came through on the crappy camera mics was noise (mostly wind, some engine). next time out I'm going to run a dedicated audio recorder with the mic right at the exhaust.

Ok, I'm back from my latest track day with the Javelin. Ran the Javelin at Thunderhill on Friday July 9, 2010 with the TEAM Miata club. Made 2 videos this time. Here are a couple of laps at Autobahn Country Club. The private event had lambo's, ferrari's, cup cars, Gt 3's ( crap loads ), a lotus club, and much more. Many were running on race tires, with drivers who are experienced. I took a ride in a silver ZR1, driven by a professional instructor pushing 11/10ths. The ACR viper inches in front of us was given the blue flag several times, but after 2 all out laps our tires ( stock ) became greasy and we had to back off. Intense!!!

We ran the full track 3.56 miles with 19 turns.
