She really has her S*** together it seems. I think it's rare to see that in someone that young (or anyone for that matter). And Daaayyyyum....that was a sweet burnout!

Al seemed to be impressed with her as well. I think he's a pretty accurate gauge of the quality of his coworkers. Everyone he "rolled his eyes at" in the past had a short employment there for whatever reason.

Good for her!

Duane is the shop foreman.
I agree, plus she's only 21. The asking for Scott to sponsor her may not have been the best idea, but then again she's a kid. The passion is there.

Im also only 21 and worked in a Hot Rod Shop at one time. The funny thing to me is that I feel that I have just as much knowledge and determination as she does, but because I am a guy, I wasnt "priased" for it, nor was I givin a partner with more experience to shadow and work with. I was thrown out there, and when I accomplished something, there was no surprise in anyones face. I see a double standard here.

Humility. And I sure hope she has it.

Personally I am turned off by the whole sponsorship thing and trying to sell herself out there. If you love hot rods then find a job or start a business that involves them and have fun with it. The minute you start making moves to gain noteriety for yourself and become a celebrity, then I think you've lost sight of what this hobby is all about.

Someone at Woodward told me that she had hired an agent for herself.

That's just stupid.

Thats funny. But I did see on her website she would like to get into T.V. so I guess it probly smart to get a agent.

Nope, think like a TV producer who counts the numbers so they get advertisers - she'll be there a while, unless a bigger deal comes along for her - and guess what - they will do another Charlie episode and drama queen the entire show(s) around it.

Honestly, how the hell would Scott have sponsored her? I know she asked for it & what not. I am not 100% sure on how it all went down, but what does Scott have to offer her? Not trying to be a smart-ass or what not, other than saying "I am sponsored by Lateral-G.net".

I mean if she wanted money to put a "Lateral-g.net" sticker on her car & website, thats complete BS. Because, quite frankly, I'll put one on my car for free.

I love how our standards drop when a chick can weld, or wrench on a car. I don't think she's that hot. But....it always makes them a little hotter if they can hold their own in the garage.

I could see the girl form the 4x4 show now trying to rock crawl a 32 coupe she knows not the first thing about hot rods sure she can fab but not a hot rodder i think this girl here will do awesome and good for her to better herself through a great builder like boyd!
Not to mention if you watched the show you heard the best catch phrase i have ever heard on a TV show, when one of the shop guys told her he had a fast mustang, her reply was "isnt that an oxy moron" lol! a fast mustang
Good stuff
