I would like to finish up the body, install a g-bar rear suspension and mini tubs, then if there is a little extra cash install a vintage air setup. I would also like to put on all of the billet goodies I have been making over the past couple of months.
Hope to get project 356G frame completed this winter - so I can do the body metal work in spring and summer, and have a completed assy by fall. I'd like to blow it apart and be in paint winter 08/spring 09 - for final assy summer 2009.
Whew thats seems like a long way away - but it will sneek up on me if I don't get something done soon.....
To get my 1969 firebird drivable by my birthday in May. I need to finish the mini tubs, buy wheels, front tires and pretty much assemble the whole car . Not going for paint now, I will put it in suede for now. I just want to drive it again.
Get both my cars back from DSE and hopefully do Power Tour riding shotgun in the cars of Jody, Scott and Charley, if they want a newbie hanging around.
stuart
talked to kyle a few weeks ago at a show.(turkey rod run)..he told me he had your "driver" blue car ,giving it a once over and taken care of a few things .(saw the pics on dse.com(whole firewall) dang im sure that wasnt in the original plan.he said your total build was going to be an all out awesome machine.cant wait to "read" about it

First up is removing the entire center portion of my floorpan from firewall to back seat and building a new tunnel for more driveshaft clearance so I can lower the car a bit more and also get the tailshaft higher for reduced u-joint operating angles (currently 3 degree operating angle which makes a little vibration at 85+ mph, going to get that down to about .25-.50 degrees at normal ride height.) Also going to build in a front and rear driveshaft loop while I'm at it.
Building my custom dash insert with all new gauges and fixing what little remains of some dash wiring "fixes" made by the previous owner.
Good shocks at all 4 corners.
Finally ditching my B-body spindles & C4 Baer brakes and going with AFX tall spindles & C5 brakes. Also changing to a wilwood tandem master cylinder
Maybe start little by little on the bodywork as the weather warms up.
