My favorite Japanese car.

If that thing has a weak point in the drivetrain, SW will find it

thats not entirely true. there were a few test runs they did at nurembering that had a racier tune and nicer tires, but i've never heard of any gutted interiors. i think a lot of that "info" are just rumors started by american car fan-boys.

as far as how it does against the Z06 and 911T: look at the road and track article on the GT-R. That was a showroom stock car and it still did fine against the competition in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 tests, and managed to beat them around their test track (buttonwillow i think)

You know it..

Here it is at Boost Logic, 50 miles on it and they built a new mid-pipe section for it today. For now my plans are to up the boost, paint the lower skirts black, coilovers, HREs and ECU tune.

I was wondering when you were going to receive that car.

Can't wait to see it lowered with HRE's on...

Interesting how they show the Weight of the Z06 200 lbs more then it is and the GT-R 300 lbs lighter then what actual owners are saying. Also the GT-R was 7 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile according to that report.

I think you may have misread? Thats 7.2 mph, not seconds.
The GT-R ran an 11.8 in the 1/4, and they reported it to weigh 3800 pounds, which is pretty much what I've seen everywhere else, and had an overall lap time of 1:56.9
The Z06 ran the 1/4 in 11.7 and had an overall lap time of 2:02.2
The extra weight in both cars is 160 pounds, which is roughly the weight of a normal sized man... the driver.

Either way, I don't want to turn SW's thread into another Z06 vs. GT-R debate like every other automotive forum has. I def. look forward to seeing it on HRE wheels and some coilovers!
