Default Did some testing last night with the new car..

My 3rd time at the track with my new Supra. I have been having some clutch issues. This is the same clutch/ transmission set up that was in the silver car I was driving and I think after many passes, dyno runs and runs at the mile, the stock tranny is getting worn. I'm having my trans rebuilt this next week and will be dealing with the clutch issues next week. We are running a Tilton 4 disc clutch and I am shifting at 9500+ rpm. It sometimes doesn't want to release cleanly. All three passes that I make yesterday were Granny shifting just to get into gear. My last pass was the fastest 1/8 mile I have ever run until I couldn't get it into 4th and still ran a 8.50@ 168. I went [email protected] in the 1/8, I usually run 137-138 in the 1/8. My first pass right off the trailer was [email protected], best pass was [email protected]. I know it has a 20 or 30 in it and it should trap 180+.. I have to say, this is the fastest car I have ever been in. Last night after I unloaded the trailer at the shop, I was driving my GTR home, it felt about as fast as my F450.

Here are the timeslip numbers..

off the trailer pass
1.45 60'
137.36 1/8
5.77 1/8
177.37 1/4 ***
8.57 1/4

record pass
1.37 60'
137.53 1/8
5.63 1/8
175.78 1/4
8.47 1/4 ***

coulda/woulda/shoulda pass
1.35 60' ***
141.20 1/8 ***
5.54 1/8 ***
168.35 1/4
8.54 1/4
