I think it looks better with a remote mount. What's the scoop on the 5.3? It looks great but what did you do inside? Nice project you have going.

I had two blocks but one had a burnt main and the other one had a messed up cylinder so i decided to bore it 30 and go with the cubes.
ARP rod bolts
TSP stage 2.5 heads
Comp Cams R roller lifters
TSP chromemoly 7.40 pushrods
ARP headbolts
TSP 224R Cam 224/224, 581/581, 112 LSA
IN motion double roller timimg chain
Victor JR intake
90 degree sheetmetal elbow
90mm fast throttle body
1 3/4 stainlessworks headers
Hopin for 400 or more hp.

Sounds pretty stout. I am going to guess that you break the 450hp mark with that combo depending on your compression ratio. Do you know where that ended up at?

It's goin slowly here lately been workin my butt off at work which is good i guess but not so much for workin on the truck. I been tryin to find brakes for the front but nobody makes any i like except the big 14" 6 piston that i cant afford. Im takin everything off of it to get frame powdercoated and to paint firewall and underside.

No i have not had a chance to fire engine yet. I am re wiring the entire truck and i havnt decided what ECM to run yet. I been thinkin Big Stuff 3 but idk. Thats alot for a computer but it can control trans to so i will see. Thanks for askin thou.

Nice build. Why are you having to rewire the truck?

I'm hoping to one day drop an LSx into my dad's '90 so I'm trying to collect all the "To Do" list stuff.

Save some money and see if you can tweak a stock GM computer enough to run it. And the trans too. No need to blow the cash on the BS3 unit if you don't really need it.
