I did a bunch of work on it Saturday. I rebuilt/repaired the power locks in both doors. My efforts weren't 100% successful, but the locks at least work 90-95% of the time instead of not at all. I also cleaned both door latches and relubed them. I adjusted the windows and T-tops to the point where both doors are getting a good seal to the new weather stripping. Unfortunately the car still leaks in the same place it always has, right over the shifter. I found that out this morning after last nights heavy rain. It looks like everywhere else is dry, so I think it's mostly leak free. I think I fix the leak with some well placed sealer, so that'll be in the works in a few days after the area's had time to dry out. I also cleaned out the hatch area, removed the carpet (no rust!) and vacuumed out all the trash and dirt from 20 plus years worth of use. I even pumped up the spare to make sure it's still leak free. For those that don't know, some IROC's had a collapsable spare that had an inflator bottle (mine never had the bottle - I just keep a small pump in the car) to pump up the spare if needed. It's super light compared to the standard steel rim mini-spare. Anyway, that's about all I got done. It took me HOURS just to get the doors fixed, adjusted and back together. It was time well spent considering that I get the satisfying "thump" when it closes and not a bunch of rattling. It's much quieter inside too, so that's a nice plus.

I'm still cleaning it up inside, working on the interior. I hope to have it all back together this weekend. It already runs great, stops great, handles great, has a nice radio/CD/iPod setup, so clean up is all for now aside from a keyless entry/remote start system (shopping around for this and looking for suggestions).
