they wont do away with coveted autocross, doesnt everyone want to go as hard as they can in second gear and talk about how fast they went around a puch of cones in a parking lot?

I think they should do away with it all together.....

I'm just guessing but did auto-cross start with the ricers? Our cars are meant to stretch their legs. I remember a picture of Motivator at a good guys auto-cross, it was shot from behind the chain link fence and looked like a caged animal.

Dont get me wrong auto-x can be fun, and when big tracks are not available this type of venue suits its intended purpose.

There are some good things I see with the mixed format, not as hard on the cars, and a more rounded type of suspension test.

You may have seen me lurking around in my '77 Camaro last year. This year my goal is to finish my LS1 transplant in time to participate!

Would love to come but not sure if I'd fit in.... Actually I've been instructing HPDE events at Gingerman for years, not sure how I keep missing this event, sounds like lots of fun. You guys should try Grattan sometime, its a hoot!

Probably not going to have the car done in time.

Do I need to register if I'm going to be a spectactor and ride along in other participants cars?

Thanks, look forward to the event.

You like cars and racing, whats not to fit in. I for one would love to have an instructor thats familiar with the track. Oh, and you have only missed one, last year was the first event.
