Default Well I ordered the wheels

I ordered the Muroc wheels form Budnik and They said 6-8 weeks for the wheels. I ordered 22 x 10 with 6" back space and 20 x 8.5 with 5.75 back space. I'm waiting on the wheels to set it on the ground. I'm ready to lengthen the torque tube and I should have the bed sides made by friday.

Default Lengthen the torque tube

Well The torque tube is actually a tube with a drive shaft in it with no U joints. I cut the tube into 2 pieces in my big band saw then I chucked each end up in the lathe to cut the welded tube out of the ends. then i went to my steel supply house and ordered 8 ft of 5" 3/13 wall aluminum which is the same size as the old tube. Then I will mock up the pieces in the car to get a true length then bolt everything in the car and square the pieces and slowly weld the ends to the tube. Then I will send out the driveshaft to be lengthened.

Default I got the brakes

Well I got a call From Wilwood this morning and the brakes are a go, they made me a sweet deal. I got the 14" ones with the red calipers. They are all drilled and sloted and all that good stuff. I got 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rear. They should be here in about 3-4 weeks.
