Chris!!

Dude are you kidding?? YOU --- Capital letters --- YOU are the only guy out there that when we needed a corner man --- YOU stepped up and said -- "let me run one more lap and I'll park and go work the corner". Which is EXACTLY what you did. The good news is --- we found someone and you got to go back and run the pig snot out of your beautiful car. Dude! YOU ARE THE MAN!

I have to tell you ---- I was just about ready for some of those cherry bombs or apple gas or whatever it's called.... But I had a friggin' blast and it was really great to get to know everyone a little better and see everyone having a great time with their "babies".

sorry i am not trying to ruffle the feathers but i have a trophy here in my had that says Speedtech WON the road course. no one else
Well, this explains your odd post in my other thread.

Blake, I don't have the results of the event in my hands.. I was going off memory.. I didn't mean to insult you, your very skilled driver, your increadibly bitchen Nova, your native country of Canada or anything else.. please calm down a bit. The fact is that Ryan ran the fastest time of the day.. that is ALL I WAS TALKING ABOUT.. sorry I worded it badly.

Man.. you would think this was NASCAR or something.. I guess the whole "lets' just go have fun" part is out the door. lol

As we continue to do these events, we strive to improve on not making mistakes..that is why there are three of us runing this event, to keep everything in check and we still screwed up. I personally am so sorry as that Ryan ran his butt off in the 69 to be the best and was overlooked. DSE ,one of our major sponsor, brought their rig cross country just for this event and turned back around..can you imagine the fuel cost..and we left them out. We realized this after all was said and done and it was too late. Guys please accept our apology and thank you for your participation....It is always a pleasure to see vendors bringing parts they sell and showing us what our cars could be like and how much abuse they can stand...Kyle, Stacy and their crew prove that week after week and without their support ..you guys would not have got to do what you did this weekend.
A honest mistake but it sounds like you guy's were close

It's still a little mirky with the vendor vs. the regular guy. I don't personally have a problem running against everybody, joes and pros. I do think it's safe to say that the cars entered by the manufacturers have an advantage of engineering and testing. Eventually I can see this evolving into two distinct classes. Then you have the cars driven by folks that aren't owners. Cars that are lighter, more powerful, etc. I'm just happy to have the events to compete in on a regular basis. I look at the DSE, Speedtech, Pozzi's, Finch, as the king of the hill. I'm working to close the gap as a driver and finding that car balance. It's fun to have something to work towards.

DSE ran the vendor class and had the fastest time overall. My understanding was they were the only cars in the vendor class.

Speedtech was in the regular class and did run the fastest time in the non vendor class and did win the trophy.

It sounds like they were within .2! You guys don't think this competition is getting stiff?

Default It's pretty simple really....

Here's the deal, Ryan in the DSE '69 ran the fastest lap time on the road course, but was in the Vendor Class. Jay in the Speedtech Nova ran the fastest lap time in the Registered Competitors Class....therefore won the road course part of the event.

*Todd beat me to it!*

What this guy said! lol

Hey, in the end we got to see a bunch of badass car being beat on and guys trying to get better at driving them. I know seeking crazy good drivers like the DSE crew, Speedtech driver, Finch, the Pozzi's and such do what do makes me want to be better. Now I just need to find the time to his the track more.

But while winning is always great, having fun with our cars is what this always be ultimatly about.

Dse was the only one in the vendor class. That is odd.

I agree. very odd.
any company that owns a car, or someone who has pro driver drive should be in vendor/exhibition class.

Thanks Greg. I appreciate that. I saw you bustin' your ass over there and just wanted to help out somehow. You were so busy during the event that I didn't get a chance to catch up with you and just hang out and chat. Hopefully next time.

Unfortunately, I believe my ride still has a lot of pig snot left in it so I've got a ways to go. That's a gorgeous ride you brought along with you. Unbelievable how fast that thing is around the autocross.
