Actually Jody, I have a complete parts and pricing list with everything needed for the "FrankenSuspension" setup. When I get home I'll dig up the spreadsheet and check it over again-- and I'll have Dennis look it over again too as the steering arm setup is kinda goofy (you buy one rear steer arm and one front steer arm, as if you buy a right and left front steer arm they're different length for "left turn only" ackerman reasons.)

I'm debating right now if I'm going to spend my tax return on some Sparco seats or the suspension... since I'm in the middle of removing my engine right now for a cam swap (which makes it really easy to change the UCA's and also get the LCA bolts out without hitting the headers) I'll probably be doing the suspension.

I take back everything I said in my earlier post except the Goodwrench 350. That thing is a beast!

Troy

Troy -

With your tax refund you can get that Pearl Orange Paint job that you always dreamed about. You know you want it. Your car would really scream, and we're not talking about the blower.

Actually, I *had* been considering orange or burnt copper for my car-- just not orange pearl. To have the really "ghetto fabulous" look the pearl has to be applied very splotchy.

Jody
This is one build I'm really interested in following. Should be fun.

Ah. I feel in love with my friend's grandfather's blue on blue 67 Malibu in '97 in San Jose. Looked just like that one and i took a bunch of pictures of it back then. Coincidently, I bought a triple black 67 Malibu that was my last daily driver for two years in 2002. If your's was the same car, I was going to offer you all the photos, tell you I knew the family and feel all special for a moment. Instead, I'll just tell you that it's a cool car and can't wait to see what you do with it.

Here's my old love....

Thanks Keith. The family I bought it from were the original owners of the car. Still has the protectoplate and warranty booklet, etc. That is a nice Chevelle you had there!

Jody,

Great find! Iam sure you will show us the light on this new project!

My big brother had a 67 396 turbo 400 in the mid 80's that he got for
$1800.00 back "then" lol..I loved the interior in that thing..not a quick
ride, though the 396 could get going once in awhile...

I hope you enjoy the new project journey!
