Personally -- I liked the GT cars better (or as much) as the V8 cars... I could tell one from the other... and they were just as fast (lap times).
Those Caddy's were the most distinctive sound of the weekend to me, closely followed by the E63-based Mercedes running in the V8 class. The sounds from the GT/GTS cars were all over the place, while most of the V8 cars sounded almost 'tame' by comparison.

It was great to meet you guys out there. Fun weekend for sure.

I agree those Caddy's definitely had the best sound. I was a little surprised the Camaro's and the Vette sounded so much different than the Caddy. I wish I would have taken a look under the bonnet of the Caddy.

I wasn't talking about one, you cropped some of the shots in posts 12-17 didn't you?

PS - Did Rob actually take the photos he posted?

There are a couple two or three in there that are cropped --- I thought you meant the close up shot of the FORD front end.... The cropped versions are all of cars on the track.

One guy kept leaning forward and putting his fuzzy little gay hat in the bottom of the shots. With 6fps it takes a lot of pix in a short time!

I too, was surprised at the quality of Rob's posts. I ASSumed someone mailed them to him.

With full carbon fiber doors -- it's easier to just lift them off and get 'em out of your way... LOL

There's just something wrong with racing a "more door" car to me personally....

I think I got the Irony, don't want to spoil it for the others. Nice pic work, wish I could have been there!
