I guess that's better than the way I do 'em.... I'd just tack 'em - rub some silicone over the seam - and glue carpet on 'em...

When I was redoing my brother in laws Camaro --- his were siliconed to the chassis -- were you showed the nice rosettes. OMG... what some guys do to cut corners.
