But if public perception ruled Nascar all the drivers would act like Jimmy Johnson, but it doesn't. Right now Tony Stewart made the headlines and every soccer mom in America think cuz they wheel their suburban down the high way they are a dirt track racer and Tony must have meant to hit and kill that kid so he is a super villain. Well as soon as something big happens in the real world with the Karrdashians or Justin Bieber, Tony can go back to racing, I would bet Tony was told by NASCAR not to race because Nascar has sold out is fan base to make auto racing appeal to everyone. Just like everything else has gone soft. No one can speak their mind or no one is ever to blame for their actions, there always has to be a way to prevent every accident.
The guy who owns Bass Pro shops is a fishing buddy of Tonys and I'm sure he will have no issue with a racing incident as he is a racer and knows these things happen every Saturday night.
Nobody missed a single race when Dale sr died.
