Hey, Tracy, i read you are planning on using C6 Z06 brakes....So am i. And i'm waiting on info's from Frank at GPS for a pricing and clearance issue specifications with the brakes on a set of Forgelines ZX3's.

Do you have your brakes and wheels yet? Any idea on clearance / need of shim to clear the calipers or anything?

Car is gonna look great!

Hey, tell us a bit 'bout that SRT8!!! I have one of my furnishers who has just bought a Magnum SRT8 and i told him i need a ride next time he comes by if he wants a future order!!!!

Lead.
Lead,

Funny you should mention the stripe on the Charger. I have also thought about this before. Perhaps this is why I like the strip on the camaro since it reminds me of the charger. It would work.

As for the brakes and wheels..I have the brakes already...they are wilwood 6 piston brakes for C5/C6 to go with my AFX Spindles. Frank ordered my wheels about 2 weeks ago. Forgeline insisted on having him double checking the offsets against the specs. I have attached the spec sheet on the brakes if you care to look. I am confident that everything will fit.

As for my SRT8...I absolutely love this car. I just cannot believe that you can get this kind of performance from a 4000 LB car that cost under $45K. The car is extremely well balanced and stable. It pulls like crazy from a stand still and from 80 MPH. It is also very comfortable despite the somewhat tight suspension. SRT did a great job on this car. I can only imagine what it would be like with a supercharger.

If you get the chance to drive one of these cars you really should!

Default Black it is!

Definetely like it!

It gives it an all other Business look! Much more serious.

I didn't see any attachements for the brakes tough? Forgeline says they don't think they will be able to clear the front calipers. (i have the wheel info sheet printed out and the Core3 measures for the calipers on my desk right now...Just need to measure up!) I'm just taking in some comments on the C6 set up in its entire configuration vs others (Hey Fatlife!) and am looking to do this project after Christmas...when i get the wheels.

You are running C6 but wilwood calipers??? What made you decide against the Vette parts? And why, then, are they called C6? Just because they are Vette part #'s?

Oh yeah, did i mention i love the blacked out rear on your car!!?

Specifically, I am running AFX tall spindles with Wilwood 13" 6 piston brakes for C5. The AFX spindles of course require C5/C6 style brakes. Hopefully this clears it up.

Here is a link to the manual from Wilwood. It contains the offsets and measurements.

Wilwood big brake kit for C5 manual

Thanks for the input on the tail pan!

The Black Tail compliments the side Hockey Stripes and is consistant with the black grill in front.

All I can say is, "Well Done!".

It now looks Balanced.

I guess I forgot to tell you ProCharger's new product for SEMA is a set up for your Charger. Don't worry, I think we have your credit card on file, LOL!

There were no clearance issues with the Wilwood set up for Tracy's Forgelines. The C6 calipers seem to always cause trouble, however, we have a few ZO6s running Forgelines, so it can be done. But the ZO6 runs a much different backspacing arrangement
