Sounds good.

My email is [email protected]

I'm having a hard time contacting your friend Bob. I sent him the money for the trans on 5-19 and he told me that the transmission would ship out on 5/22.
I emailed for a shipping confirmation on 5/24 and he told me that he was going to ship the trans later that day.
Since then I have tried to contact him via email on three separate occasions and he hasn't returned my email.
I need to get this guys phone number.
Do you have it?
If not can you direct me to someone or somewhere I can get it.
My patience has run out with this guy.
Thanks,
Rich

Re: Trans

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He wasn't out this weekend.....although I didn't stay the whole time. I have two numbers for him. If I can't get a hold of him by tomorrow morning I'll give you both numbers. I owe him about $400 for a pair of LS6 heads so if things get ugly you can use that as leverage. I've bough and sold many things (trans, engine, heads, etc) with him so I have to believe something is wrong...... In any event I'll do what ever I can to get your money back to you....

EMAILS BETWEEN ME AND BOB....

OK. I will need your complete address and contact number. May sure its a number that the shipper can get a hold of you during the daytime. I will declare the value at $900 unless you want it higher. You can pay via paypal to [email protected]. I should be able to get it out Tuesday. A tracking number will follow Tuesday night.

Bob, I will take the trans with the bad syncro. I planned on complete rebuild prior to install anyway.

Tell me how to send you the money.

HI,

I have two T56 transmissions. Both are from 1998 camaros and come with bell housings. One will require some help as there is a noise during 1-2 shift. The second is in good condition. I would take 1300 for the clean one and 900 for the one that needs the syncro.

I got your email from a friend on Lateral-g.net, he mentioned you may have a transmission for sale?

If it’s available can you tell me what your asking and where you live?

Thanks,

Somebody on LS1tech.com was talking about him ripping them off too. Might be time to team up and take a drive to chi-town....

F!*K** ****!

I just read the other thread on LS1.

Here is what i typed;

Guy's,

I bought a T-56, new clutch, pedal set and flywheel from John. He was very polite and we never had an issue throughout the deal. (I'M in Canada on top of things) and i received everything as described, nicely wrapped and in boxes. It took a bit of follow up but, as everyone has personnal things to attend to during the week, the shipping delay was really fair.

I'm still missing the pedals as John told me he forgot to remove them and shipped the trans and it slipped his mind, but they are supposed to be coming any time soon.

I sure wish i had known about this sooner! Altough its not affecting me now (I didn't open the trans yet....) It surely would have scared me off!

Hope no one gets bitten again.

Hey John, if you read this, could you confirm me the pedals are on their way please?! (PM at Lat-G would be nice) I can attest your a good guy and will do so with pleasure...but i need my stuff in order to do so! :jest:

Lead.
.................................................. ..........

I see by the dates that i was a bit ahead of all this. Maybe he saw the possibility of making a few fast bucks by the interest that was shown per interested buyers, after my trans was gone? This is scary, as i felt so in confidence i didn't ask for any pics or anything else, i'm tearing this thing down this w-e!

I have a buddy that wanted a t56 too and John had told me he knew a guy at the car club who had one for sale but was asking too much. His story is holdind up to me, even the number$ are same as he told me earlier. I'm not much of any help to those who have been screwed, but felt i needed to tell my side of the story since its positive and there seems to be a few stories in those threads that aren't too clear. And you know there are 2 sides to a coin...

Update:

I got a call yesterday from the IL district attorney, they were asking questions about Jsconiers address and phone numbers.
I wasn't sure if I had the correct information so I did a three way call with Tyler (ATS) and the district attorney to verify my information was correct.

It sounds like they are going after Jsconiers for his internet scams. During that phone call I found out that John bought three motors from a junk yard (150K miles) in WI. He then advertised those engines as low mile units and shipped them to un susepcting buyers.

Apparently, Jsconiers has a criminal record (I'm so surprised) and they think they narrowed down where he works.

Rich

Default For what it's worth:

For what it worth - I bought this package from jsconiers before all of the fur started to fly and it was finally delivered yesterday (after being tied up at UPS for six weeks due to shipping issues).

The engine and transmission that arrived were more or less as described with a couple of unfortunate issues - the intake manifold was cracked, the flexplate was missing, and the crank pully was chipped. Other that that it is as described - based on other peoples experiences, I think I was lucky. My biggest issue (besides 6 weeks expecting a box of rocks to show up) was john's complete lack of assistance with the shipping issues. He was aware of the problem and even seemed to gaf at first but never actually did anything after a couple of "I'll look into it's".

I can not speak to john's other dealings, and I am not in any way suggesting that anyone run out to deal with him in the future but this has been my experience.

I got home from today and found a transmission sitting on my porch. The box is labeled sixspeeds.com.

immediately I telephoned the company, I explained that I didn't order a transmission and there was some sort of mistake.
The sales manger explained that the transmission was from a gentleman named Ben Lesnik. I told her I didn't know a Ben Lesnik..... then it dawned on me, I asked if Ben ( ) lived in Illinois and she said yes.

After 20 minutes of talking we were able to piece together that JohnSconiers sent her the transmission a few weeks back asking for it to be rebuilt. John told sixspeeeds.com the transmission had low hours and just needed to be freshened up but when they cracked the case they found a transmission that looked to have over 150,000 miles and every gear / syncro needed to be replaced.

The price was $1900 to rebuild the transmission. John told her to put the transmission back together with the old parts and to send it to me without any paper work. sixspeeds.com told me that John made it very clear about not sending paper work with the trans.

Now I have a transmission in my driveway and it needs some serious work.
I already bought one from a lateral-g member so this one is for sale.

I will let it go for $300 if anyone is interested.

The person at sixspeeds.com offered John $500 for the unit but he passed up the deal because he wanted to send it to me. (what a great guy).

Please send me a PM if your interested.

Rich
