Thanks Lead.

Not sure how I missed that thread on the subject...

I am anxious to hear about what Venomous/Frank have to say on this "adjustment".....

So, Lead, did you add the lower Quadralink bars to your Air Bar/G Bar setup??

the bars will have to be custom if the axle is narrowed more than 1.5 inches by side.

my cars rear will be miss fat booty..
I'm in the very same situation right now. I have the G-bar and was getting ready to order a set of tubs today.
My Moser is stock length. If I'm understanding your post correctly, you could have installed a fat tires but you narrowed your axles more than 1.5"?

While I don't need a 345 tire, it would be nice to know how wide I could go with my axle at stock width, G-bar, and a set of tubs.

Looks like we are all in the same boat.

Update,

Amir's custom bars are at his builder, but not yet been installed. I talked to the builder today and he thinks they will be just fine, but has not had time to install them.

In the meantime,

I got word today from Air Ride that the Street Challenge kit for Project EmptyNest is on the way. We will be doing a full install, story and report back directly to Air Ride about any possible interference, if any issues with big tires. We will start using the standard bars, and see what, if any, mods need to be done. We should know something in the next two weeks

Thanks for the update Frank-

do you have details/specs on the custom bars Amir has, or on this "Street Challenge" kit?

thanks

I spoke with chassisworks yesterday, they told me that when using the G-bar and DSE tubs you could run a 305 and slightly larger tire. They did say that 335 were not going to fit.
The offset shackles use the original under body mounting location, your gain for tire clearance is not much more than 1" is it?
I think the standard leaf spring is 3" wide.

The G-bar uses the stock body mount also but it's only a 1" dia bar, I think you would gain more tire clearance using the Bar over the offset shackles.

Hey everyone.

I have an announcement (kinda).

I sold all my stuff to a friend last night. (6.0L, t-56, wheels, tires, brakes and all their related hardware, etc) He does not want my airbar so its for sale. I'm going to post it in the FS thread but tought i'd let you guy's know since there might be interest from readers of this thread and i got the thread update this morning, thats what made me think of posting in here.

(If you wonder why i sold everything, i'm going back to Pro Street! I'm ordering some 15x4 w/28" front and 15x12 w/30x13.5's and a 500+ BB is searched for. I have tried to convince myself that pro touring is for me for the last 3 car builds and have ended up selling the cars because it gets to a point where my interest is so low i feel like giving up. This car, i LOVE and i don't want to let go, so it will be a triple black, caged, Bad ass Street /Strip car soon. (Show quality street/ race car)

I love Pro touring too, but i realized i just prefer the Tough/ Musclecar look and 0-150 kick. I'll still be around tough as you guy's are great.

Copy of this in open discussion is due i think...
