how did you mount the coils? did you fab up something or is that a kit?

The ones at the very bottom of the page are sweet.. and the same idea as the Katech ones. Although the covers seem "shorter"..

A little combo of parts I came up with for my '69 Camaro.. there are actually four parts to it.

1. large alumunum angled flat "washer"
2. smaller counter sunk aluminum washer
3. chrome AN washer
4. chrome button head allen bolt

Each combo ends up costing over $6.. but you only need four and they look so sweet. I get them for a local place called www.hillcofasteners.com

I LOVE the "Fabbed" look....But now that i've seen your engine done....I'm thinking to get some fabbed ones (taller + cheaper) and getting them coated.

A friend just bought a powder coating kit and is looking for parts to do

It was tough.. I detail it in part one of the engine install story (feb issue).

Had to make a custom line for the steering rack since it didn't let the alt sit all the way back. Then I had to shorten the stud on the back of the alternator by 1/4 inch. It's a pretty tight fit but looks great now and very "tucked away".
I can say it really is "tucked away" indeed. .I can hardly see it at all
