I definitely didn't want to stir you up in a bad way. You have been more patient than 99% of us would have been, for that you should be commended. That being said, I don't really want you to get it for you, I want you to get for us! We need more pictures and build stories! Stop thinking of yourself all the time! I'm pullin for yah!

Wayne, just tell him you will be there with your trailer on a certain date. And do it!!! I mean, the guy has done an outstanding job, that body is much, much better than new. But if you don't firm up a date it will just keep on going like it has. Show up there with a trailer and load up your car and get on with it.

Hang in there Wayne. I want it home for you just as much as everyone else does. But don't get the blood pressure up too much. Do what you feel is best for your situation. Everyone is behind you and wants whats best for you.

I called this morning to see how the progress is going.
Not wanting to bash but I have sent him (Mike) emails and called about parts and never get a return phone call or email. A couple of years ago they would answer the phone or call me back.
Hopefully when you deal with the painter, interior guy, etc. you will have better luck. I can tell you from personal experience they will all put your patience through the ringer. One good thing though it looks like the body will out last us all when you get it back.

Atleast my painter is 4 block away from the house. I'll be there like one of his employees. lol If I fall out my front door I'll roll right down the hill to his shop.

Wayne, I'll feel for you. I've been in your shoes and my painter was only a couple miles away. I did a great deal of the body work getting it ready for my body and paint guy and just wanted him to dial it in and paint it. Well after 2 years and about four times the original bid(don't even want to disclose that amount, it's embarrassing) I told him no more $ and gave him a date I was going to pick it up. Kept my end of the bargain, showed up with a trailer and a bunch of friends, gathered my goods (unfinished but close) and took it home. He wasn't happy about it but it sure felt good to get it home and work on it at my pace and not pay any more falsified funding charges. He did good work but the lying I couldn't take anymore. Mike sounds like a good guy and looks like he knows what he's doing, but you can only take so much. I've been pulling for you and hope it all works out in the end. Best of luck

Thanks Lenie I appreciate it. The guy who's going to paint my car is a friend for the last almost 40 years. He was the guy everyone went to for custom work. He still always has a few Vettes at the shop. Every time I think of a different color he drags out the color charts for me and we look them over.
I can't wait until I get that close and have to pick a final color!
