Don't know if I'm stupid, or just can't pass up a good deal. A buddy called with a line on some LS3's that were built by Katech for the American LeMans Prototype Challenge series.http://www.katechengines.com/motor-s...s-series-lmpc/

They are basically blueprinted 6.2 LS3's, with forged Mahle pistons, and ARP hardware. They had really cool dry sumps on them, but they kept them, along with the cams, and front timing covers. They have about 3K miles on them, and look like new inside. I bought 2 of them, I paid $2500 .

They probably won't give me enough HP's but, I figure I can work the bugs out of the car with one of them until I get board, and need to step it up.

Don't know why Tim, but I'm having trouble thinking about putting a $3000 dry sump on a $2500 engine.lol I was actually thinking about a trap door oil pan (which I already have), restricted push rods, and an Accusump. Man I seem to be hem raging cash all the sudden, I need to take up a cheap hobby.

I look at it this way.... if you grenade (window the block) the engine, it will cost more than the $3K for the dry sump to replace it.

I just got off the phone with Bill Dailey to build this for me... I could have him build you a 2nd one.. .. Cheap insurance in the long run!

I think you'd be hard pressed to get that dry sump system for $3k. Try more like $4k. I'd like to know what just the pan and pump cost without all the other sundries, in a brief email exchange with Dailey a few weeks ago I was not able to get a price on just those components, just got quoted for a full system.
