The grill that came with the car was a little busted up. Luckily I had a nice one in stock at home. I think it is a repo, but it fits nice. We are taking the car to Boris later in July to get some touch up painting done. He said he can match the patina.

I plan to do the same this winter as I no longer want a pretty paint car. I want a car I can lean on just like I did when I was a kid.

A lot to be said for driver quality paint versus show car paint.... That's the main reason i'm holding off painting the Camaro, then i'd be afraid to drive it.

Mark, I wonder if you could elaborate on your fuel tank venting system that you used, looks like a Ricks resto-mod tank and from previous builds the 2 much cannister? Pics would be great for us mere mortals. Thanks in advance.

When we get the parts I’ll post pictures with an explanation.

Mark

Default Hobbs Camaro (Old Drag Car)

One of the parts I have used on 69 Camaros since 1993. 1990-1993 Caprice fuel/license plate frame. It flips down like a 69 Camaro one, excepts it toggles over and stays in a 90 degree angle while you are filling. I used to get them out of junk yards for $3. Now on EBay they are $35.

I thought that looked familiar... my '93 Caprice outside says "hi!"

Haven't had a '94-6 B-body in a few years but the plate bracket ought to be the same for those years as well.

When you build a lot of Camaros you get to regift parts. I found this driveshaft in my atic. Matt and I took a few minutes to sort out where it came from. When we swapped the engine and sub frame in Jackass the engine was moved rearward requiring a new driveshaft. So this is to old driveshaft out of Jackass 1.0 from around 2007. Look honey I’m saving money….lol

Love the license plate flip down and try not to talk about what I spend on my cars with my wife.
