Hi Rick,

Yep, the motor is heading to Wegner Automotive for a complete redo. Edelbrock Heads, Intake, Cam and a new Wegener Serpetine Set Up. The goal is about 425 streetable horsepower.

2nd Chance Camaro - Ride Tech Muscle Bar

2012 07-04 Update - Ride Tech Muscle Bar
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Afternoon All,

People tend to think that they can handle a complete subframe swap. Then in the middle of the project they realize they have
either run out of money, time or skill to finish the project. As said in previous post the build of this car needs to be simple and
something that anyone can do. That is why Ride Tech is my first choice and always will be. Their product is proven and if you
can do simple remove and replace you are going to be unbelievable happy with all of the products offered by them.

Time to install the Ride Tech Muscle bar.

30 minutes later the bar is installed.

If your goal is to build you car in your garage or your driveway and not make it yard art then step up to Ride-Tech !!!!

2012 07-02 Update - DSE Brake Booster Install
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Good Evening All,

It's very important to mock everything up before paint and final assembly. The perfect example is what happened when I installed
the Brake Booster. The angle is off even though this is the correct DSE part number for a 70 Camaro.

You can see that the hood won't close with the supplied bracket. So back on the phone with DSE to talk with Tech Support,
send some pictures and wait for a response & solution.

A few weeks later DSE has a solution and it's simple bracket swap. I like simple, especially when your trying to build a bolt-on
Camaro.

The new bracket part # 050302 if you need one.

Problem Solved - Thank you DSE

I asked Stacey about this at the Turkey run in Daytona, she looked at me like I had 2 heads, told me I was wrong, I told her that I had 2 people tell me it wont fit, and my own car, she didnt want to talk to me anymore after that, and I've known her since they were small and located in MI,

Great build, love the racks for the bikes, and the kids in on the build,

Hi Steve,

I like DSE products just not their customer support. The few times that I have had to call with questions/concerns it's met with resistance. The brake booster was a perfect example I had to show them the hood wouldn't close before they believed me.

Right before I started this build I tried to talk with DSE at GG Columbus and GG Indy about buying there subframe and both times I was blown off. It's to bad as there subframe was the most beautiful one on the market at that time.

Now that the Speed Tech, Art Morrison and the Roadster Shop is making a subframe and the Roadster Shop full frame for 2nd gen Camaro's it's going to be hard for me not to consider there stuff for my next project.

I know the feling,

I try not to buy DSE parts, but, I have there stuff for my car,

I have a Scott Mock sub for my car, I'm kinda of over the high end
"leg humping" of all the big builders/parts suppliers get from people,

I've tried to talk to Kyle before, ignored me and walked right by, great way to get people to buy your product,

I got another great story but it cant be discussed on these fourms, involves a high doller Chevelle build and a well named driver,

and that is why I buy as much as I can from the guys at Ride-Tech. Pick up the phone got a question and they stop what they are doing to help you. Heck I even stripped the threads on a bracket and I called them at 3pm and they packed and shipped it out to me the same day.

That is customer service.

FYI - I am in no way trying to dis DSE just stating they need to work on there customer service and when a potential customer with $20,000 in cash walks up to you at a show and tells you they want to buy your product don't blow them off twice in the matter of 10 minutes.
