Going back to the original concept of the truck being a Factory Prototype - these make more sense.

here is where i got the idea from.

I would like to Thank Flaming Rivers for looking at my Project and offer to Sponsor us.

You can visit them at http://www.flamingriver.com/

Steve was kind enough to recommend the right steering box for my project.

The ratio is 14 to 1 which is more then I'll ever use on the Power Tour

That's all for this week as I didn't have time to work on the truck this week.
The good news is Dave worked on it for me.

Good Day to All,

Stopped by the Shop with my Dad last night he wanted to see the truck in person instead of pictures.
He said looks good just don't tell your wife how much you've spent.

I installed the new Flaming Rivers Steering Box and let me say it was on in 10 minutes.
It's nice having compatible parts. Everything fit perfect.

The Bed Floor is almost complete should be ready to go to the body guy in 2 weeks

We closed up the back panels - just to clean it up a little

We needed to add a little metal to the back corners so we mount the cladding.

This is the last Panel needed to be completed. Then the bed is done

Good Day All,

I headed over to VFN Fiberglass on Saturday to look at the Mold that they made for the Rockers.

www.vfnfiberglass.com

We added a 1/4" to each side of the Rocker so they would actually be long enough.
From the Factory they were about a 1/2" shy and since we are making everything else so nice we might as well fix this.

VFN, eh? I hope you have better luck with their stuff then I did! I've seen fewer air bubbles in a glass of Alka-Seltzer.

I heard this before. I looked at alot of there piece and they look nice. I know they have tried to change that image and have worked very hard to clean up there stuff. The good news is they are only 15 minutes from my house so i can easily check on there progress.

As nasty as that Buick must be hanging the front tires on the track, how sick would it be hammered down on a set of 19" H.R.E.s with some big huge brakes and the underpinnings to drive it in anger around some corners. Just keep it off full boost in the apexes!

Oh, and the truck is BAD TO THE BONE, Marty. Amazing job and thanks for the updates. You give us something to aspire to.

Hmmm.... too bad they didn't do this a few years ago! Ahh well, maybe I'll call on them to make molds of my current bumpers if I ever need new ones. Assuming you have good luck! Please let us know how this goes.
