I'm a pianist, and also enjoy baseball with my 12 year old son.

Nice job dude!

Get some wrist straps! That's too hard on your hands - and you beat them up enough as it is.....

The other day (we do strength testing once a month) I was doing leg press with 16 X 45# plates (720lbs). We work up to this weight of course - warming up with many reps at increasing weight - but I was able to do 5 reps at that weight. Any time I'm doing dead lifts etc -- I'm using straps to take that strain off my fingers/hands.

Thanks guys...Greg you are right, all the big guys use straps. Started 18 months ago and love how I feel. better than in my 20's, reversed years of lower back problems from wrenching for decades.

Love the deadlift, but don't ever take a lesson from those crossfit nuts (I chop real wood every couple of days, so I live the crossfit dream). Speed and deadlifting do not mix. It's amazing what you can do when you put your rear into it!

New hobbies for the year, beekeeper and marijuana farmer....one I've got no clue about and the other won't sting me.
