Where are you living. I am in Melb. Shop in Croydon called Stylerod is building it.

Pop over to www.usmuscle.com.au

A whole bunch of Camaro and general US Muscle car freaks in Australia. Pretty much 1st Gen Camaro centric but a nice mix of other cars also.

I love the sound of an LS7, in fact if I didn't want blown BBC a LS7 or LS9 would have been next on my list.

I tossed up a DSE versus AME front end, in the end went with the AME as I really like the fabbed look and suits to build and theme of my car better, with fabbed rear (inc custom 4 link). But I have a bunch of DSE stuff on my car, awesome quality and great bunch of guys.

OK, so the new Rushforth wheels arrived last week. Wasn't quite happy that the old one filled up the guards enough.

Got down to the shop today, they were open (after the Xmas / New year holidays).

Got down there late, but had a chance to fit up one rear rim before they closed.

Remember key goals:
1. Fill up the guards better than the existing 17x12 325's
2. More modern billet wheel

So remove the old. Oh sh1t can't get the new one on, wont squeeze in, hits the wheel arch

Deflate the tyre. Now we can squeeze it in.

Wow, fits perfect, but rubs on the rear of the wheel arch, front of the arch clears by about a quarter inch, rear rubs, and the top clears but by millimetres.

Now we will have to roll the lip front and top. rear will need to cut the wheel arch and shift it back half to three quarters of an inch. But this is exactly the look I am after, a big fat tyre stuff in filling up the whole wheel arch with the guard over the tyre (ala pro-street - but i keep my ability to have back seats)

Either way, I am loving these, damn they are huge even against the old 17x11 325's.

These pics are with it about where it will sit (diff jacked it , its not sitting on stands)

Old versus new....

I'd say it has pretty much filled in the wheel opening.

Engine bay almost done. Closeout panel now complete. Moved the oil catch cans due to change in closeout panel

Bumpers now smoothed (bolts welded and shaved) also pulled right into the body

Billet grille now on and in place

Only minor things now like filling holes, smoothing engine bay, etc etc before we go to paint.

Also got a 4" Cowl hood for it so will be registered with the single 1050 Dominator and the 4" Cowl. Then that will come off and the tunnel rammed twin 1000 Race Demons will go on. Blower will follow later

Loving the bars, grille and engine bay

Here is a pic with the tunnel ram on it

We have PAINT !!!!!

Underside stoneguarded on Mon, and painted last night

Interior painting (ie roof liner, dash, console etc) will be later this week

3 coats of base yellow and 4 of pearl, 3 clear

Interior fluro lights don't do a good job of showing the pearl, it looks fricken awesome, oh and way way brighter and much more yellow than I was expecting, she'll be damn bright when in full yellow...but I am stoked, exactly the colour I wanted...

Wow nice work, it looks great I like the color. You can see some of the pearl on the firewall.

This looks way way too good to be 4" off the ground and rarely seen......

Interior fluro lights don't do the colour any justice at all, I seriously can't wait to see it in the pure bright sunshine
